Tippexperience- Hunter shoots a bear Tippex Campaign

My favourite ad is the 2010 Tipp-ex ‘Hunter shoots a bear’ YouTube video created by Parisian Agency Buzzman.

I love this ad because it is highly interactive and there is a sense of co-creation as the viewer can type a variety of actions for the hunter and bear to act out. The viewer appears to possess creative power to re-write the story. There is an extended period of brand experience and exposure as viewers engage repeatedly with the video typing different actions.

It is also powerful as it shows clear usage situation of the actual product: the white out pocket mouse as the hunter reaches outside the video screen to erase the actions, quite an element of surprise. Its reach around the globe was consumer powered as the ad went viral. This shows the growing importance of consumer led ads in marketing and the power of social networks.

This ad cut through the clutter for me as it engaged with my emotions, I found it funny yet simple with a clear call to action and extremely memorable.
